We are blessed that you are here today. We hope you find your time spent here a blessing as well.

We are a community journeying to live as disciples of Jesus, practice hospitality in community, and bring hope through worship, fellowship and service.

On any given day, if you have a chance to visit this sacred place which we call our community's home, you will meet strangers as well as friends who will welcome you, strive to serve you in Christ's name and offer you the hand of fellowship.

On Sundays, we pray you will join us in worship as we join together to celebrate who God is and who we are as God's children.

In the between time, may God hold you in the embrace of God's love.

Verse of the Year:

"God has not left himself without a witness in doing good - giving you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, and filling you with food and your hearts with joy."

Acts 14:17.

  • Preaching With Poe - Stories of Horror and Faith

Each Sunday in October, Pastor Jeff will be presenting "Preaching with Poe: Stories of Horror and Faith".    A different Edgar Allen Poe story will be used each week to examine some of our strugggles and how God's love for us in Jesus Christ can help us overcome them.  If you are able to read the story or poem ahead of time, it would be helpful to you.

October 7:   The Horror of Shame (The Fall Of The House of Usher)

October 14:  The Horror of Selfishness  (The Masque of the Red Death)

October 21:  The Horror of Guilt   (The Tell-Tale Heart)

October 28:   The Horror of Grief  (The Raven)

Please join us every Monday through Thursday at 7:30 a.m. when we will gather in our Chapel for Daily Morning Prayer for about 20 minutes.  We will be using "Common Prayer: A Liturgy for Ordinary Radicals" as our guide with copies available in the chapel.  Please call the church office if you have any questions. 937-5419.  (Morning Prayer will not be held on National Holidays)

  • Wednesday Night Community Supper and Book Discussion

You are invited to join in our Wednesday Evening Community Dinner and Discussion.  Each Wednesday, starting September 19,  we will have a community dinner at 6:00 p.m. where you can bring a dish to pass and your own table service if you are able, or simply attend, eat, and enjoy the fellowship of others since there is always plenty of food.

Following the dinner (at 6:30 p.m.) there will be a discussion on the book "Joshua, A Parable For Today" written by Joseph F. Girzone.  You can check out the reviews on-line at Amazon.com for more information on this very moving story.  Books are available in the church office for $9.00 each. The dinner and discussion are open to everyone and we hope you can join in.
